I have over 40 year’s practical experience within the supply chain, working in frontline supply chain management and uniquely providing services to the supply chain whilst owning a number of successful Logistics companies.

Previous employment includes West Cumberland Farmers, Mallinson Denny Ltd and The Cookson Group successfully managing budgets of up to £3.5 million. For 16 years I successfully and profitably operated my own Logistics companies, David Park Transport Ltd, Freeway Haulage Ltd and Galaxy Transport Ltd. For 10 years I was also The North East Franchisee for ANC Parcels, responsible for one of the largest geographical collection and delivery areas in England.

I have the management skills required both as an employee of blue chip companies and the management skills as an employer to successfully and profitably operate my own portfolio of businesses.

The ANC Franchise was sold in 2002 after successfully increasing turnover from £600K to £3 Million. In 2005 I was approached by a Yorkshire based Logistics Group with a view to purchasing my businesses and, following successful negotiations, the companies were sold in December 2005.

PHSN Consultancy was initially set up to manage the successful transition of my businesses to the new owners. Since then I have been involved in a number successful cost saving projects across various business sectors

I have over 25 year’s practical experience of the supply chain working in frontline logistics management. Previous employment includes W A Glendinning Ltd and Nightfreight Ltd. I am also a fully trained and accredited HGV Technician and hold an HGV class 1 Licence.

In 1997 I set up a successful and profitable logistics company JIN Transport Ltd. The company also operated a Commercial Vehicle Workshop offering Fleet Maintenance to clients which included Nightfreight Ltd, Fossway Builders Ltd and Solvitol Ltd.

In 2007 the Company was sold to The G & R Group. I then took a contract role with The TAL Group assisting in the smooth integration of Logistics company acquisitions into the group structure. Responsibilities included company re-location, management restructuring, reducing overheads and increasing profitability.

In 2009 I became a Partner at PHSN initially to manage a complex external warehouse system for a PHSN client.

I have the practical management skills, practical experience and an in depth knowledge of the logistics sector to be able to offer practical and efficient solutions to companies in all business sectors.
